Texture Exploration

In this study, I wanted to explore the gesture of gloss in its rawest form — the stroke, the texture, the intent behind the movement. The deep red against the white backdrop creates an almost graphic contrast, but it’s in the detail, in the imperfect trace, where the sensory really comes through.
